William Gaunt at National Concert Hall, Dublin

William Gaunt takes on the Bass solo in Igor Stravinsky’s rarely performed Les Noces at Dublin’s National Concert Hall on Saturday 6th February 2016, as part of the RTÉ Stravinsky: In Focus weekend which maps the astonishingly fertile imagination of a figure who changed the course of 20th Century Music. Featuring Chamber Choir Ireland, soloists Else Torp, Iris Oja and Mati Turi, and accompanied by the Royal Irish Academy of Music Ensemble under the baton of Paul Hillier, the concert also includes other Stravinsky highlights such as Puicinella, Concerto in E flat (Dumbarton Oaks) and Concertino for String Quartet performed by the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, the RTÉ Contempo Quartet and stellar line-up of soloists including Hugh Tinney, Máire Flavin and Robin Tritschler, conducted by Pierre-André Valade.
